First, a wire is installed around the perimeter of your property, establishing your pet's Invisible Boundary® perimeter. A transmitter, usually placed in your basement or garage, sends a radio signal along the wire. The radio signal is picked up by your pet's collar which emits a warning sound when your pet approaches the Invisible Boundary.

In 51 years we have found no evidence that suggests an Invisible Fence® system produces detrimental effects for a pregnant pet. We have had veterinary reports of many pregnant pets, pets in season, and pets conceiving while on the Invisible Fence® system. In the best interest of the pet, we will always advise that each owner check with their veterinarian if they have concerns regarding containment.
